ELECSAN S.A. was founded on September 7, 1982, due to the growth of José Luis Sánchez’s business, initially dedicated to the manufacture of printed circuits and small electronic equipment. A friend asked him to develop a control for Jigger dyeing machines, improving existing technology. This development was a success, which led to the manufacture of control equipment for ASISA.
Over time, some clients requested programmable controls, which led to collaboration with Ramón Monistrol to develop equipment based on an advanced microprocessor. The first programmable equipment was successfully installed in France, and later in the United States. After some modifications, the SB5 equipment was consolidated and also sold in factories in Los Angeles and South Africa, boosting the company’s growth in various industrial sectors.
